I've Been To Iceland

Today I've got a different post for you. I don't know if I mentioned this on my blog before but last week I went on a school trip to Iceland. It was a geography, art and photography trip. We stayed in the capital city Reykjavik . We went to lots of different places such as the Blue Lagoon, Gullfoss (a waterfall) some Geysers and many other places. I thought I'd share some of the pictures from my trip. The weather wasn't that bad it was surprisingly good and it was actually colder in the UK than it was in Iceland (one day I didn't even wear a coat just a hoodie). So when I came back to the UK I was disappointed to see that the cold weather was still here and that it had been snowing. Hope you enjoy my pictures and there will be a celebrity style post tomorrow.

Botanics Ultra Calm Skin Calming Night Cream Review

Botanics Ultra Calm Skin Calming Night Cream
Currently £4.49 (usually £6.99)

Botanics Ultra Calm Skin Calming Night Cream
I got this quite awhile ago and have been using it for well over a month. I bought this because i had a voucher were if I bought any Botanics product I got an extra 100 points on my Boots card and as I needed a new night cream I choice this one. I love this night cream it is so moisturising and my skin seems to love it. This is aimed at people with sensitive skin I don't particularly have sensitive skin but it works really well for me. This has calming marshmallow in it which is meant to sooth the skin which it does also it smells really nice and the smell is quite relaxing so it makes it lovely to wear before going to bed. This moisturiser isn't too heavy but isn't really light either which makes it perfect for me as I hate really thick creams. I really like this moisturiser as it sinks in really quickly and my skin still feels moisturised in the morning. The packaging is quite cheap looking as it is just a plastic pot with a sticker on it but for the price you pay it isn't too bad. You get a lot of product in the pot and a little goes along way so I think it will last quite awhile. All Botanics products contain plant extracts which are good for your skin I love the Botanics range I have tried their spray toner which I really like. Next time your in Boots I recommend you try out the Botanics range and as it is on 1/2 at the moment it is an even better opportunity to try it out.

MUA Undress Your Skin Illuminating Foundation Review

MUA Undress Your Skin Illuminating Foundation

Price: £3 (on offer usually £5)
Shade Range: Porcelain, Beige and Golden
Where to buy it?: Superdrug and online

MUA Undress Your Skin Illuminating Foundation
What MUA says 'Undress your Skin Illuminating Foundation offers a medium to full coverage and is suitable for any skin type. It gives your skin an even-toned glow and visibly gives a soft healthy radiant finish, the formula contains light-diffusing particles leaving your skin feeling refreshed and luminous all day.'

My opinion: I love this foundation it offers a light to medium coverage which makes my skin look flawless. I think this foundation will be great for summer as it offers quite a light coverage. It covers blemishes quite well although a concealer may still be needed in some places. It does illuminate my skin but it isn't sparkly or anything like that. It looks really natural on my face. There are some downsides however there are only 3 shades so you may struggle to find a good match. All in all this is a good product and I definitely recommend it.

Pantene Repair and Protect Hair Mask Review

Pantene Repair and Protect Hair Mask

I showed this product in my hair care routine post. I really like this mask I use it about once a week. I put it all over my head and leave it for 2-3 minutes before rinsing it off. I love this mask it smells amazing. It leaves my hair feeling really soft and smooth. I have repurchased this quite a few times already. This costs only £4.69 and I is great value for money as it lasts a really long time. I recommend trying this out in fact I recommend any products from Pantene especially their repair and protect line as they are fantastic products.

MUA Undress Me Too Palette Review

MUA Undress Me Too Palette
Today I wanted to review the Undress Me Too palette that I have been trying out. I love the first Undressed palette and I has become a staple in my routine. I wasn't sure whether or not to get this palette as I already have the first one and I didn't know how similar it would be. I will include some photos so you can see the differences between the two palettes.
MUA Undress Me Too Palette comparison with the Undressed palette

What MUA says 'The Undress Me Too Palette embraces this season’s fresh-faced look and urges you to strip back and go nude! Made up of 12 warm and timeless shades, this palette will suit all skin tones and any occasion.'
MUA Undress Me Too Palette Close up of the shadesMUA Undress Me Too Palette shade names

My opinion: To be honest this isn't as good as the Undressed palette. It is a good palette but I personally prefer the colours in the first palette. The quality is still fantastic for £4 and the colours are really pigmented. All the colours are really pigmented and easy to blend although Corrupt is really chalky. The shimmer shades are more pigmented than the matte shades just like the first palette. My favourite shades in this palette are Naked, Shy, Tranquil and Reveal. I do like this palette although I don't think it is as good as the first one. I like the new packaging, the white casing looks more professional than the black in my opinion. I also love that MUA have started naming their shades as it makes it so much easier to know which shades you are using. This is meant to be a dupe for Urban Decay's Naked 2 palette and at £4 you can't really go wrong. The main question is if I have the first palette do I need the second one. The answer is yes I think if you are a makeup enthusiast then you do need to try it however if you aren't a makeup collector then you probably don't need to try it if you are happy with the Undressed palette. This palette does offer different shades to the first palette so you won't be doubling up in colours which was my main worry.

New Header

* post contains PR sample

So some of you may have noticed that I have a new header. I am so pleased with my new header. It looks so professional and much better than the one I made for myself. Sinead from Fashion and Beauty Tribes offered to make me a new header as she has just started an online shop on which you can buy headers. On the website you can chose from 3 pre made designs or you can have a custom made one. All the headers cost £15.00 which is really reasonable, Sinead also offers a free installation.

I am really impressed with my header. Sinead listened to everything that I wanted to have on my header. She made it really quickly as well she had made it within a day which is really quick considering it took me ages to make my old header. I really recommend Sinead because her designs are really professional and they are affordable. She makes them really quickly and she installs them for free. She sent me two designs to chose from and I picked this one.

I hope you like my new header

NOTD: Spring Time

Today I wanted to share with you another NOTD. These 2 colours are perfect for spring which hopefully will actually start soon. I’m so fed up with the cold weather and I can’t wait for it to be sunny. The 2 colours are sued were from Barry M I used Berry Ice Cream and Mint Green. I love both of these colours and I am sure I will be using them a lot during spring/summer. As with all Barry M nail paints these are fantastic quality and so affordable.
What have you got on your nails?

March Empties

This month I have used quite a few products and I wanted to share them with you.

March Empties Skincare

Kleenex facial cleansing wipes £2.99
These weren't the best wipes I'd ever used. Although they were soft they didn't remove makeup particularly well especially eye makeup. On a plus side they did stay moist unlike some wipes I've used in the past.

Would I repurchase? Probably not

Soft lips French vanilla lip balm £1.85
I really liked this not only does it smell of vanilla (my favourite scent) it also moisturised my lips. It did tingle which I don't mind but some people will hate that. I think this is an American brand and over there they do many different flavours but I've only ever seen vanilla in the UK. When I went to my local Superdrug to repurchase it they didn't have it so I ended up getting a Nivea one instead.
Would I repurchase? Yes (If I can find it)

Balance me balancing face moisturiser £24 (full size)
I really liked this moisturiser. It left my skin feeling soft and smooth. Also it was 99% organic which is really good. It had a really nice smell to it as well. I wish it wasn't so expensive otherwise I would repurchase it. If you want more detail about this product you can read my review here.
Would I repurchase? Yes

Witch blemish stick £2.89
I love this it is great for removing spots. This is a must for treating spots as it works so well in making them go away. I have already repurchased this as it is so good. For more information you can read my review here.
Would I repurchase? Yes

March Empties Bathcare
Botanics skin toning body wash (discontinued)
I didn't particularly like this it had a herbal smell which I didn't like. Also I didn't notice any skin toning effects.

Baylis and Harding peony white tea and jasmine body wash and body lotion (from a gift set)
I liked the body wash it smelt really nice and it lathered up really well. The body lotion was alright although it was really difficult to get out the bottle.
March Empties Haircare

Pantene hair mask £4.69
I really like this hair mask it leaves my hair feeling really soft and smooth. I use this about once a week. It smells really good and I've already repurchased it.
Would I repurchase? Yes

NOTD: Barry M Mushroom

I can't decide whether I like this nail polish or not. This is a nude nail polish which makes a nice change as I usually wear bright colours however I'm not sure if this colour goes with my skin tone I think it is slightly too dark (let me know what you think). I like the consistency of this though I only needed 2 coats and it dried really quickly.

Revlon Kissable Balm Stain in Honey Review

Revlon Kissable Balm Stain Honey
Where can you buy it: Bootsand Superdrug
Price: £7.99
Shade range: Crush, Darling, Cherish, Lovesick, Honey, Rendezvousand Romantic
What Revlon says ‘Just Bitten Kissable is a pampering balm fused with a lightweight lipstain that gives you softer, smoother lips with a flush of shiny colour that lasts hour after hour. The smooth and moisturizing gel formula glides on beautifully with a light peppermint fragrance for truly kissable lips – and the retractable chubby crayon is the perfect accessory for any occasion as no sharpener is required!’
Revlon Kissable Balm Stain Honey

Revlon Kissable Balm Stain Honey
 My opinion
I got one of these last year in the shade Cherish and when these were on over in Superdrug for £5.99 I had to pick up another. I chose the shade Honey as it looked like a really wearable shade. Just like Cherish this is really moisturising and long lasting. I love this colour as it is a your lips but better colour. I can wear this to school as it is a really natural colour. Also because it is a stain it is long lasting and when it fades it doesn’t fade in patches. This is great as I don’t need to worry about reapplying it. I love this colour and I have used this so much more than I have used Cherish. You can tell by the pictures that I have sued it quite a lot. I forgot to take pictures of this before I used it (bad beauty blogger)

Revlon Kissable Balm Stain Honey Swatch
Have you tried any of these? Also have you heard Revlon are bringing out some new lip butter shades in the UK. I like the sound of Wild Watermelon.

What I Got For My Birthday

On Thursday I celebrated my 17th birthday. I wasn't looking forward to my birthday that much this year as it was the same day that I got my results from my January exams. I thought I would share with you what I got. This is not to show off, I really enjoy adding these posts and I hope you enjoy reading mine. I did get some money and chocolates but I didn't bother photographing those.

I got this lovely jewellery stand for necklaces and earrings. I have been looking for one of these for ages and I'm so glad that I got this. I got a lovely set of earrings and this set has some cute owl earrings in it. I got a gorgeous purple bracelet that looks absolutely beautiful. I also got a purple earring and necklace set that looks really pretty.

I got a set of mini nail files which will be really handy to but in my handbag as whenever I need a nail file I never have one. I got a Rimmel nail polish in the shade Your Majesty. With the Rimmel nail polish I got the MUA Starry Night palette which I'm really excited to try out. I got some Impress nails which I'm looking forward to try as I've been wanting to try them for ages. I got some false eyelashes from Collection and a Bedazzled eyeshadow palette. The shades in the palette are gorgeous. I will be doing reviews as soon as I try them all out.

I got a gorgeous purple purse and a lovely mint green satchel style bag. I got a mini notebook with a pen which will be great for planning blog posts.

My main presents was an acrylic makeup storage. I have been wanting one for ages. This can hold 12 lipsticks and it also has space for mascaras and eyeshadows. I also got the Real Techniques Starter Set which I have been wanting to try since I got the Core Collection for Christmas.

As mentioned at the beginning I got some money for my birthday and I made a fragrance direct order. At the moment they have Dainty Doll products on the website most of them are £1.99. I got a Bourjois eyeshadow in the shade Tabac Blond the packaging of this is so cute. I got Rimmel's match perfection foundation which I'm excited to try this out as I love Rimmel's foundations. I got the Dainty Doll mascara and eyeliner duo in the shade Good Gosh Miss Molly. An eyeshadow in the shade Are You Experienced. A lovely light pink blusher called My Girl and lastly a concealer in the shade Abracadabra 02. The packaging of Dainty Doll products is so cute and I will be reviewing all my purchases soon.

NYC Colour Wheel Plum Passion Review

I found this in my local discount shop and it was only £1.99. NYC can be bought at Superdrug and the blushes are normally £3.99. I couldn't find this on the Superdrug website but I'm sure you could find it online. I love mosaic blushes and I really like the MUA mosaic blush. The MUA blush is perfect for spring/summer as it has lighter shades of pink in it. This is perfect for autumn/winter due to its darker shades of pink in it. I love this blush as it acts as a blush and a bronzer. It adds a nice glow to your cheeks but it also adds warming effect to your cheeks due to the darker colours in it. I had never tried any NYC products before this and I really want to try some more of their products. I would love to try some of their other blush shades.

Have you tried this?
